President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated the President of the Senate, Mr. David Mark, on his 67th birthday.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President praised Mark’s remarkable contributions to national development over many years.
In a congratulatory letter to Mark, the president applauded the Senate President’s outstanding accomplishments in the service of his country.
“On the auspicious occasion of your 67th birthday anniversary, I join your family, friends and well-wishers to thank Almighty God for your life which has been marked by outstanding accomplishments and enduring fulfillment.
“On behalf of my family, the Federal Government and people of Nigeria, I congratulate you and pray that Almighty God continues to strengthen, guide and prosper you,” Jonathan wrote to the Senate President.
The President also wished Mark a happy birthday.
David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark became the President of the Senate of Nigeria on June 6, 2007. He is also the Senator for the Benue State constituency and a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Before his senatorial career, Mark was a military governor of Niger State, he was then a Brigadier General.
