Incendiary tribal remarks by the Oba of Lagos seems to have thrown the support of non-indigenes of Lagos state towards the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Jimi Agbaje.
The Oba of Lagos had threatened that people who didn’t vote for the All Progressive Congress’Akin Ambode would be thrown in the Lagoon.
Agbaje’s supporters are using the threat in their favour, with a man seen wearing a shirt with the inscription: “I want to die in the Lagoon! Vote JK”.
The elections are set to hold on Saturday April 11.
